Join us for a two-day immersive event designed to equip educators with the tools and strategies needed to integrate AI into their teaching practices effectively. This workshop stems from the comprehensive insights of the book "AI-Powered Pedagogy: Redefining Education" offering a practical application of its concepts through interactive discussions, collaborative activities, and hands-on projects. Participants will delve into the transformative potential of AI in education, exploring both its capabilities and ethical dimensions.
Every participant will receive a copy of the book “AI-Powered Pedagogy: Redefining Education. “
Day 1: Understanding AI in Education and Ethical Frameworks
- Introduction to AI in Education: What's all the buzz about AI, and why is it critical for modern education?
- Ethical Considerations: How can educators address and navigate the ethical implications of using AI? What are the potential risks, and how can they be mitigated?
- Hands-On AI Tool Exploration: Participants will engage in activities to familiarize themselves with AI tools, focusing on how these can be harnessed to enhance learning and teaching effectiveness.
Guiding Questions:
- How can AI tools be integrated responsibly into educational settings?
- What are the key ethical considerations educators must keep in mind?
- How do AI tools align with and support pedagogical objectives?
Day 2: Practical Application and Strategy Development
- Developing AI-Powered learning experiences and units of inquiry: Educators will design and prototype AI-enhanced educational artefacts, applying AI tools to real-world teaching scenarios.
- Strategizing for Classroom Implementation: How can AI facilitate a shift from traditional teaching models to more student-centered approaches?
- Collaborative Project Exhibition: Participants will present their AI-enhanced projects, sharing insights and feedback with peers.

- What are effective strategies for employing AI in the classroom to improve student engagement and understanding?
- How can AI-powered tools be used to enhance educator workflows and creativity?
- In what ways can AI promote essential skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and empathy among students?
By the end of this workshop, educators will gain a deeper understanding of AI's role in education and also leave with a toolkit of resources, lesson ideas, and ethical guidelines. Our goal is to be empowered to be AI-literate educators, ready to transform their classrooms and enhance the learning experience with the innovative use of AI technology.
